Procrastination
Feeling overwhelmed
Missed deadlines
Constantly multitasking
Not putting out your best effort
Difficulty prioritizing
Feeling burnt out
Lack of work-life balance
Any of these sound familiar? Do you know what leads to all of these things?
Poor. Time. Management.
I know, I know…you’re busy. You’ve got work and the kids and that obligation you really wish you would have said “no” to and your parents are breathing down your neck to visit them more often and you haven’t seen your besties in a month.
The hardest part about fixing your time management issues is simply acknowledging that you actually have a time management problem. I go through cycles of this and I’ll spend MONTHS feeling “off” but ignoring the feeling thinking that it’s just the season I’m going through rather than a “me” problem.
Then I remember that everything is a me problem: I’m the only one responsible for my actions.
There have been 3 major game changers for me in overcoming poor time management: project management, time blocking, and actively working on being a better leader.
I’m so passionate about this that I’ve actually recorded a multi-episode podcast series on Leadership that tackles all of these elements on the Owning the Wait podcast.
We’re at the tail-end of the series, which started in March. If you haven’t tuned in, I really recommend you indulge in these short and sweet episodes that will help you manage yourself and your time better.
I’ve received so much feedback about this series already and I’m confident this will be a game changer for you.
